United Youth for Peace, Education, Transparency & Development (United Youth) proudly participated in the 2nd Vibrant Village Foundation (VVF) Grant Partners Forum held on November 27-28, 2025, in Kono District, Republic of Sierra Leone. The forum brought together civil society organizations from Liberia and Sierra Leone working across sectors such as agriculture, health, child protection, governance, and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH).
Giving the opening remarks, Mr. Osman Mohammed, VVF Regional Director, said the forum served as a platform for peer learning, knowledge-sharing, and strengthening mutual accountability among partners. Mr. Osman Mohammed encouraged participants to focus on key learning opportunities across organizations to inform future initiatives.

United Youth’s participation was significant, reinforcing its leadership in community-driven development, accountability, and cross-border collaboration. During the partners’ presentation session, United Youth showcased its progress in nutrition and water, sanitation and hygiene interventions, agriculture, education, child protection, gender empowerment, and community resilience.
The organization highlighted its work in referral pathways, domestic and gender-based violence prevention, and youth-focused empowerment initiatives. United Youth also contributed to discussions on sustainable farming, climate-smart agriculture, livelihood development, and the impact of climate change on rural communities.

PowerPoint presentation further captured United Youth’s field achievements, amplifying the voices of beneficiaries and demonstrating the effectiveness of community-centered programming. These insights emphasized the importance of partnership, local government engagement, and transparent reporting, which are key pillars of sustainable development.
United Youth’s active participation demonstrates its continued commitment to community empowerment, transparency, and advancing development outcomes across Liberia. The organization remains dedicated to strengthening collaboration with VVF and partner institutions to drive impactful, citizen-centered change.
Dekontee Weah, Finance Officer of United Youth, mentioned that limited funding is a major challenge in meeting the organization's yearly plan. He also said that the support of VVF has strengthened the organization's policies and legal framework, visibility, and fundraising capacity.
“The support from VVF has enabled our organization to improve on programming, financial management, monitoring and evaluation, and capacity building of our staff and has also contributed to the construction of our office space.” Timothy Kpeh, National Executive Director.
The Vibrant Village Foundation (VVF) Grant Partners Forum was attended by Timothy Kpeh, National Executive Director, Dekontee Weah, Finance Officer, and Henritta Jimmy, M&E Officer.
