Legislative Engagement

Legislative action is key to protecting public and donors funding for safe drinking water sanitation and hygiene services in Liberia. The creation of an office space for WASH at the Legislature with support from John Burns of the Heart To Serve Missions was a strategic step toward building the needed high level political leadership for WASH. Today, we now have a Standing Committee on WASH and taking action to ensure increased funding, transparency and accountability for the sector. The April 17,2024 budget review session sponsored by Wateraid Liberia, Congo Town is a great beginning and welcoming step towards improving WASH services for all.
